*It costs $25 to join for all individual membership categories except student membership. A rejoining fee of $25 applies to lapsed memberships for all categories except student membership.

ACLP Membership Hardship Waiver Program

Are you experiencing a hardship that is impacting your ability to maintain ACLP membership? We may be able to help.

Funded through a grant from Disney, in case of proven financial hardship, payment of annual ACLP membership dues for individual members may be waived.

Hardship waivers are granted for one year and may apply only to ACLP Individual Membership dues. Requests for hardship waivers must be resubmitted annually and no more than two (2) hardship waivers may be granted to a member. Request for hardship dues waiver must be received by ACLP within 30 days after membership expiration.

Hardship Waivers are by invite only to those who are in their grace period. If an expired member qualifies, the link to apply will be emailed directly them. This form must be completed by the applicant or a person responsible for the applicant's affairs.

ACLP Membership Access Program

Funded through a grant from Disney, the ACLP Membership Access Program provides a free ACLP Professional or Student membership to a child life specialist. Anyone who meets the criteria below can apply for this program.

Application Criteria:

Applicant currently meets ALL criteria for professional or student membership
Applicant has not been an ACLP member within the last five (5) years

* Applicants from an underrepresented group (i.e., race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability status) will receive priority consideration.

Fall 2023 Membership Access Scholarship Timeline:

Applicants will be notified by December 15
