Project Sunshine

Project Sunshine is an international nonprofit that brings joy and play to pediatric patients through a corps of over 20,000 volunteers. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, play is one of the most effective methods of reducing stress in kids. We support pediatric patients through in-person volunteering, Activity Kits, and through TelePlay, our newest program. TelePlay provides play and social interactions led by trained volunteers to children at home or in the hospital via a HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform. Project Sunshine in-person volunteers bring joy and play, as well as human connection, to children 425+ medical facility partners across the country. Project Sunshine Activity Kits are an individualized packet of materials to inspire play and engagement that are provided to medical facility partners for use with children.
