Conference Attendance Justification Toolkit
In keeping with ACLP's mission to provide quality professional development, we offer these tools to provide a clear path to assist you in achieving your educational goals by attending the 40th Annual Child Life Conference.
The materials in the Conference Attendance Justification Toolkit will assist you in communicating the value of participating in the conference experience to your manager. Your manager or supervisor is sure to appreciate the investment made into your professional development as well as greater knowledge that you can apply directly to patient care.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will all the sessions be recorded?
In-Person Conference: No, not all the in-person sessions will be recorded. Please refer to the conference program guide to see which will be recorded.
Virtual Conference: Yes! All the virtual conference sessions will be recorded and available to view for one year.
How many total PDUs will I earn?
In-Person Conference: Up to 30 PDUs for general sessions. Attendees can earn up to 6 more PDUs by purchasing Intensives.
Virtual Conference: Attendees will earn up to 23 PDUs for attending.
How long will the session recordings be available to view?
All recordings will be available to view and earn PDUs for one year.
What safety provisions will be in place for the in-person portion of conference?
Each individual who participates in the Child Life Conference will be required to provide proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or a medical exemption letter. If you present an exemption letter, a negative COVID-19 test result must be submitted within 72-hours of arriving at the conference.
Will masks be required at the in-person conference?
ACLP will follow federal, state, and local county COVID guidelines, as well as the hotel guidelines. At this time, masks are strongly encouraged when gathering indoors, with the exception of eating and drinking.
What is the registration cancellation policy?
Cancellation Policy - All cancel requests must be received in writing (send to conference@childlife.org)
Full, Fri, Sat, & Sat/Sun Conference Registrations:
- Requests received on or before 3/31/22, will be refunded minus a $50 admin fee
- Requests received between 4/1/22 and 5/1/22, 50% of reg fees paid will be refunded
- No refunds will be honored for requests received after 5/1/22
Intensive Registration:
- Requests received on or before 3/31/22 will be refunded minus a $25 admin fee
- Requests received between 4/1/22 and 5/1/22, 50% of the fees paid will be refunded
- No refunds will be honored for requests received after 5/1/22
Virtual only Registration:
- Requests received on or before 5/1/22 will be refunded minus a $25 admin fee
- No refunds will be honored for requests received after 5/1/22
Where can I find my certificate of attendance?
In-Person Conference: One certificate will be granted for the entire conference. You will receive this certificate at the in-person conference.
Virtual Conference: After viewing each session, attendees will be required to take the survey and quiz before accessing the PDU certificate of attendance.
How do I access recorded sessions if I am not able to attend them live?
To view recorded sessions, log into your account at education.childlife.org. Select "My Dashboard" and then click on 40th Annual Child Life Virtual Conference Package. The full listing of all recorded sessions will be available there to view. We recommend using a Google Chrome browser to complete these steps.
What are the expectations of me as a participant?
We are committed to creating a safe environment that is inclusive and free from discrimination, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other protected categories under applicable law. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. ACLP staff will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Will virtual sessions have closed captioning available?
Yes. To turn on closed captioning, select the CC button on the Zoom toolbar.
